As a proud board member of Let’s Grow STEAMx, I’ve had the privilege of witnessing what happens when young minds are given the opportunity to explore, create, and believe in their potential. At Let’s Grow STEAMx, we don’t just talk about the future—we build it. One bold idea, one fearless student, and one immersive experience at a time.

Our mission is simple but powerful: to INSPIRE future leaders through immersive STEAM experiences that FOSTER curiosity, EXPAND opportunities, and STRENGTHEN communities. We call it #IFES. 

But it’s more than an acronym—it’s a movement dedicated to ensuring every student, regardless of zip code, has access to the building blocks of science, technology, engineering, arts, and math.

What began in 2014 as a single community-based STEAM competition quickly proved that when students are given the space to imagine and create on their own terms, incredible things happen. That spark grew into the Youth College and Career Expo (YCCExpo)—a dynamic event connecting students with colleges, corporations, and mentors ready to invest in their future.

At the heart of Let’s Grow STEAMx are the values that guide everything we do: Love, Perseverance, Commitment, Excellence, and Community. These values shape how we support students and how we work together to create environments where young people feel seen, valued, and empowered to lead.
