South Georgia Equine Rescue is a mid sized nonprofit animal rescue in Southeast Georgia. It's located in one of the poorest counties in the state and has no municipal animal shelter or support for animal welfare.
SGER currently has 180 dogs (130 on rescue property), 18 horses with many being sanctuary, and numerous animals located on property. The rescue has recently started tackling TNVR in the feral cat colonies in order to reduce the overpopulation of abandoned animals in these rural communities.
Donations given directly impact the lives of over 200 animals on a daily basis allowing the rescue to keep operating, feeding, and providing medical care to every innocent animal they can.
On top of the animals located within the rescue, SGER helps community animals with medical care including providing free vaccinations, microchips, low to no cost spay/neuter, and medical care when able.
