Holiday of HEROs 2019

H.E.R.O. for Children’s mission is to improve the quality of life for children infected with and affected by HIV/AIDS through enriching programs, unforgettable experiences, and connections with the community.

The Holiday of HEROs (HOH) program allows us to partner with other AIDS organizations and hospitals in Georgia to provide children with one item they need and one gift they want during the holiday season. Our partner organizations include Jerusalem House, AID Atlanta, Live Forward, as well as pediatric AIDS clinics in Atlanta, Macon, Augusta, Albany and Savannah. We hope we can count on you to make the 2019 HOH program a success.

Ninety-five percent of our service population lives at or below the poverty line. Without this program, many of our children would not receive any presents during the holidays. Last year, we served 342 children throughout the Georgia and Alabama area. The growth and success of this program is largely dependent upon volunteers, sponsorship and sufficient in-kind donations.

Any new gifts you are able to provide will help HIV-affected children experience joy this holiday season. Volunteer options include conducting gift drives, wrapping & organizing presents and assisting with our Holiday Party on Saturday, December 21st, 2019, where presents are distributed to those living in the metro Atlanta area.
