Many Buford Highway families in our community are dealing with severe housing issues. Requests for help continue to go up as families are living in inhumane conditions with no help and nowhere to go. Families in GA have very little protections as residents and a landlord's failure to repair or fix problems does not allow them to withhold rent. Often times the problems in the apartments also cause physical illnesses for our families. Our community needs legal aid and financial/rent assistance. Help us provide much needed relief to families at risk for eviction and needing housing aid. 

Los Vecinos de Buford Highway connects residents throughout the Buford Highway Corridor with a team of legal experts for free consultations and legal representation. We conduct monthly dinners and tenant advocacy workshops to educate tenants on their rights and responsibilities. Since the pandemic began, the need for financial assistance has continued to grow. We also offer families in need with $400 mini grants to assist with rent/housing.
