In 2007, one family in Johns Creek, Georgia collected 65 used bicycles and donated them to North Fulton Community Charities to be used at Toyland for holiday gifts. In 2026, the 20th Annual Bikes For Kids will be run by Georgia-based organizations, including The Pedal Forward Foundation, Peloton Sports, Bike Roswell, and RAMBO.

We collect up to 400 new bikes each year, and funds raised are used to purchase new bike helmets. Bikes For Kids provides a new bike helmet with each bike provided to Toyland. Our focus is safety, so cost should not be an issue about whether to have a helmet or not for a child. It is also a Georgia law that children 15 years of age or younger must wear a helmet when operating a bicycle.
