$12,000 goal

Two Dekalb dogs, Wuffy & Gramps, are in need of urgent TECA surgery! These life-changing surgeries for these wonderful dogs are in reach with your support. Every donation, no matter the size, goes directly toward their surgeries and treatment. We can give them a pain-free life that these dogs deserve!

What is TECA Surgery? Total Ear Canal Ablation (TECA) is a specialized procedure for dogs that removes the entire diseased ear canal to treat chronic ear infections or tumors. It is a permanent solution for severe pain and recurring infections that fail medical therapy, with a high success rate (90%+) in improving quality of life.

LifeLine's veterinary team has explored all the treatment options and have determined that TECA surgery at a veterinary hospital is what these dogs need.

These sweet & deserving dogs have the best care possible as they await their surgeries, thanks to their dedicated and loving foster homes!

WUFFY:

Wuffy is a 3-year-old German Shepherd mix with the sweetest personality who has been in a foster home since October 2025. She’s super smart, loves puzzle toys, long walks and lounging in the sunshine. She is the perfect balance of independence and affection—happy doing her own thing during the day, and is a total snuggle bug at night. If you start giving her belly rubs, she’ll flop over and stay frozen in pure joy.

She is such a loving and joyful dog, but Wuffy has been living with constant pain. She’s been battling severe infections in both ears that have caused chronic damage and pain. Her ears fill up daily, and she often shakes her head in discomfort — sometimes so hard that she cries out. Even gentle ear cleanings are very uncomfortable for her. Despite taking multiple medications every day, nothing has brought her relief. She deserves to feel as good as the happiness she brings to everyone around her.

 GRAMPS:

Gramps is an 8-year old German Shepherd mix who has been in a foster home since June 2025. This smart & distinguished gentleman loves chasing his ball, going for car rides, and visiting local hangouts with his foster family. Like Wuffy, this sweet boy has been living in pain for a long time and he has the opportunity to live pain-free with this TECA surgery!

Every donation brings these two wonderful dogs closer to a pain-free life and future they deserve!

About LifeLine Animal Project:

LifeLine Animal Project is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit with a mission of ending the shelter euthanasia of healthy and treatable animals. Our goal is to keep people and pets together as we look at the root causes of animal homelessness and work with our community to provide accessible pet care and solutions throughout metro Atlanta.

We manage the Fulton and DeKalb Counties' animal shelters as well as our Community Animal Center, our headquarters, with a state-of-the-art shelter and full-service, low-cost veterinary clinic.

LifeLine Animal Project is a nationally lauded leader in animal welfare and the largest animal welfare organization in Georgia. Since its inception, LifeLine has taken a strategic approach to create a safety net for at-risk companion animals, both in our shelters and our community.
