Winter Shelter Services

This winter, Atlanta is forecasted to face dramatic swings in temperature, heavy rainfall, and below-average cold in January and February. For women experiencing homelessness, these conditions are not just uncomfortable—they are life-threatening. Rebecca’s Tent is the only women’s shelter in DeKalb County, and we are committed to keeping our doors open wider and longer to meet the urgent need.

Since 1983, we’ve provided emergency shelter, nourishing meals, showers, laundry, and compassionate case management to more than 2,000 women. But this year, the need is greater than ever. To prepare for the extreme weather ahead, we must expand our shelter services—extending hours, offering day services to keep women safe from the elements, and ensuring every woman who comes to us leaves with dignity and hope.
