Homelessness is not just a statistic; it is a harsh reality faced by countless women. In Atlanta, homelessness surged by 7% last year, leaving over 3,000 women without a safe place to live. Rebecca's Tent, founded in 1983, has been a beacon of hope ever since. Our mission is to make homelessness brief and non-recurring by empowering women to secure permanent housing and fully engage with the continuum of care services. 

Nonprofit homeless shelters are vital to the fabric of any community, providing a safety net for the most vulnerable. Rebecca's Tent is the only women's shelter in DeKalb County; it has been a lifeline for more than 2,000 women and prevented 575 families from falling into homelessness. 

Our team is passionate about helping women overcome obstacles to stability. We operate with a deep understanding of the local communities and regions we serve. By partnering with civic-minded organizations that offer services, we maximize the resources available to our clients. This collaborative approach enables them to achieve greater economic, housing, and family stability, resulting in a significant collective impact on the communities we serve.
