Womens Health First

Womens Health First (WHF), incorporated in the State of  Georgia, is a 501(c)(3) United States Nonprofit organization that supports humanity, by promoting and improving women’s health. This is done through education, advocacy, and empowerment.

Womens Health First envisions a world where everyone has equitable access to reliable health information and basic needs, such as Water, Sanitation, Hygiene, and Nutrition. A world where Women and Girls thrive!

WHF is targeting vulnerable communities across Metro Atlanta, and  Rural Africa - One Community at a Time 
Our Interventions:

Þ Host online and in-person Community Health Education sessions and a slideshow titled “CHP-Community Health Promotion”.

Þ Conduct Sisters Halaqah (gathering) bi-weekly on Zoom, and monthly in-person educational sessions to support and equip Muslim Women with basic knowledge on topics ranging, from Menstruation, Hijab, Nutrition, COVID-19, Mental Health,  and distribution of Halal Food, especially during Ramadan.

Þ Currently, Womens Health First is in need of your support to help bring clean safe drinking water to families in DANKPEN village in West Africa Togo. These indigenous families face tough water crises.

This rural community is fetching water from streams and shallow holes in the ground, sources of water-borne diseases and illness. In some cases, this leads to death, particularly among children under the age of 5 years. The impact is severe on Women and girls. They walk an average of 3.7 miles daily to collect and carry up to 40 Lbs. of unsafe water home, missing productive activities or schools.

It Doesn’t Have to be this, Way! With $25 a month, you can help WHF bring clean drinking water to everyone in Dankpen Prefecture (village). This will also alleviate the burden on women and girls walking long miles to collect unsafe water.
