I Am Arts Foundation

Our Story

Launched in 2015, the I AM ARTS Foundation is recognized for exposing and mentoring youth to high-quality arts education. Our mission is to provide a platform of personal expression, cultural awareness and social development through artistic creation and service learning for youth in Atlanta, Georgia. Our vision to provide personal wellness through experiential artistic practice and community engagement.

Our Children’s Performance Company services youth ages 5-18 years with arts training, performance opportunities, cultural enrichments trips and participation in Arts-based Service-Learning Community Projects.

We are requesting support to fund operation costs, the development of virtual workshops, live performances, and the floor build-out of our new creative space for our young dancers, actors and vocalists.

We have been humbly committed to sharing that “the ARTS is a gift to GIVE”, not just for personal reward. Our focus goes beyond the route of instruction and visual displays of amusement and entertainment. Our purpose is to be intentional and provide an approach to the arts learning that has three tiers: discovery, creation, and service. Our curriculum prepares students to be well rounded citizens in the arts and creative industries. Our youth “discover art” through mentorship and engagement in artistic training with professionals from all over the country. Our youth “create art” by becoming advocates and taking ownership of their artistic practice and they “give art” by the art of performance and developing their humanitarian landscape through meaningful community events.
