Hand Heart and Soul Project Inc

The  Hand, Heart, and Soul Project does two things:

• We provide children and families access to nutrient-dense foods they need to thrive
• We work with early child care centers to develop holistic programs focused on health, wellness, education, and nutrition programs

At the Hand Heart and Soul Project, we listen first, engage second, and support last. Our mission is to nurture, celebrate, and advance the needs of the Clayton County community by creating equitable access to quality educational, nutritional, and community resources. 

HHSP lifts the voices of Clayton County families with young children and early care providers to create solutions that increase access to high-quality education, support services, and healthy food. In partnership with our community, we:

• Support a neighborhood, biweekly Farm Stand to bring fresh produce and EBT/SNAP purchasing capability to community members.
• Coordinate the annual Clayton County Back to School Block Party which has distributed backpacks and schools supplies and facilitated connections between early care (pre-k) programs and the K-12 school system for over 3000 residents
• Host community yoga and cooking classes
• Distribute books to support literacy initiatives
• Fundraise to purchase nutrition education and gardening materials and training for eleven early learning programs
• Started an emergency food distribution program during the 2020 COVID 19 pandemic providing over 15,000 pounds of fresh produce and healthy foods
