“On Giving Tuesday, consider a unique option: promoting improved wages and benefits, stronger company cultures, and helping people build life-changing wealth over time through the amazing option Congress created in the 70’s called ESOP, or Employee Stock Ownership Plan.

Although a tax-free exit strategy might be the first attraction, business owners will reap many other rewards in choosing to make their employees employee-owners.  Preserving jobs and keeping the company in your community rather than moving or losing them is important to everyone involved.  Helping communities attract and retain good employees is more important than ever…and employee-owned firms with cultures that engage all employees have higher retention rates.
