$100,000 Goal

OUR MISSION

  • To mentor and restore the dignity of disadvantaged young women and vulnerable girls.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

  • We believe in the African adage that says "IT TAKES A VILLAGE"
  • We believe in developing/nurturing relationships
  • We believe in outreach and acts of service

WHAT WE DO

***MENTORSHIP

  • The foundation of Agape Women's Ministry. Our desire is to continue mentoring the young women/girls who come through our program. We offer life lessons using a six-session curriculum created specifically for our girls. Once the girls have completed the mentorship program successfully, they can then apply for the Agape Scholarship.

***AGAPE's "LOVE INSPIRING HOPE" SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

  • Each year, we will offer scholarship to a select group of deserving young women/girls who complete Agape's Mentorship Program. Award will be based on academic records, mentorship requirement completion and character references. Our longterm goal is to double the number of recipients every year. Will you join us and support a girl's education?

***AGAPE NEWBORN PROGRAM

  • In collaboration with a private clinic focused on women's health, Agape will provide 100 newborn kits each year to the clinic. Kits include diaper, wipes, bottles, pacifier, and a few other items. Each mother is given a kit after delivery. Our desire is for every mother to know how loved and supported she is as she begins her journey of motherhood.

***AGAPE FEEDING PROGRAM

  • In addition to providing food supplies to the Christian Association of the Blind Orphanage in Paynesville, Liberia, we also provide meals to communities on special occasions.

OUR REASON FOR FUNDRAISING:

In 2018, Kimberlyn received the vision to build a physical “Agape Village” – a campus like the one pictured for the ministry. The main building in the middle will be used for large gatherings and to host mentorship workshops. The smaller buildings will be used as breakout classrooms for teaching life skills, such as sewing, hospitality, baking, arts and crafts, cosmetology, and farming.

  • Priority #1 - Agape Training Center

Our program will operate on a 3-month rotation. This will allow the girls to stay on campus, receive all the necessary training, and graduate with the tools for success. To accomplish this, we will build a dormitory for the girls to stay. Each bunk room will accommodate up to 20 girls. Our goal is to build five dormitory rooms.

In June 2023, we purchased the first 2 acres of land for this project. Our goal is to purchase an additional 3 acres by November 2023. Construction for this project will begin in November 2024.

This is a huge undertaking, and we are asking for your generous donation. Your donation will help us build out this project, secure transportation, and provide one girl with 3 months of training and support (at a time). Please partner with us and help change the lives of women and girls in Liberia.

  • Priority #2 - Transportation

Our challenge over the years has been getting around and transporting our girls. We spend quite a lot on transportation each year. We have girls who come from different parts of the city and it costs us a lot of money every week to get them to the trainings and back home. Securing transportation allows us to centralize pickup and drop-off locations around the city for the girls to ensure they get to the trainings safely and on time.

We welcome your donation to help facilitate the purchase of a car/van or the in-kind donation of a car/van to help us accomplish this goal.
