Habitat For Humanity- DeKalb, one of the few nonprofits in DeKalb County that provides affordable home repairs for older adults, is raising $10,000 for their Aging in Place Program (AIP).
**I'm donating $250 to this campaign. Please help match that with whatever amount you can!**
AIP is designed to address the issues preventing older adults from aging safely and comfortably in their homes. We do things like install grab bars in bathrooms, build wheelchair accessible ramps, widen doorways, upgrade toilets to be ADA compliant, repair plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems, fix structural issues, roofing, and more.
We do all of this with the support of people like you!
Currently, there are over 500 individuals on the waitlist who need critical repairs. Just imagine how large of an impact we can make if everyone gave a small monthly gift of $5, $10, or $20!
