Repairing Homes. Restoring Hope. Honoring Dr. King’s Legacy.
Each year, the Decatur community honors Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy through meaningful service. The MLK Jr. Service Project brings volunteers together to provide essential home repairs, maintenance, and yard work for low- and fixed-income seniors and veterans.
A broken step, leaky faucet, damaged railing, or overgrown yard can become a major challenge for someone unable to afford repairs. Our volunteers help create safer, more comfortable homes while preserving independence, dignity, and quality of life.
We are 100% volunteer each dollar given is equivalent to almost $6. Whether you give $25, $50, $100, or more, your contribution becomes part of something larger: a community choosing to care for its neighbors. Your donation helps provide the materials, tools, and supplies needed to complete these projects. Every gift makes a difference.
Join us in putting Dr. King’s vision of service into action.
Give today. Repair a home. Restore hope. Strengthen our community.
