“A fundamental concern for others in our individual and community lives would go a long way in making the world the better place we so passionately dreamt of.” Nelson Mandela.

Today and everyday, DCM cares and expresses deep concern for families struggling with homelessness.  In the past year, remarkably DCM has served over 1,060 residents of DeKalb County through our Homelessness Prevention and Re-Housing programs and 426 people have received emergency food supplies. Hagar’s House continues to operate as the only true emergency shelter within the physical boundaries of DeKalb County. Coupled with hotel vouchers, we have provided emergency lodging/shelter to 122 individuals in local households.

Over 50 years ago, Decatur Cooperative Ministry was created out of the community's fundamental concern for children and families in the community. The organization's mission is to help families facing homelessness settle into safe stable homes and build healthy lives filled with peace, hope, and opportunity.Power of You  DCM needs our help to continue to support families in crisis, on the road to stability from food and housing insecurity.  Help Team DCM to support this pillar of the community through a donation of your financial treasure.
