$100,000 Goal

The crisis in Afghanistan has displaced thousands of families who are now facing a perilous battle to find refuge abroad and in the U.S. Hours after events unfolded, the team at Georgia Asylum and Immigration Network (GAIN) began receiving calls from around the world identifying families in urgent need of immigration assistance.

In response, GAIN launched "Project Ally," a local hotline and legal support effort to reunite Afghan families through humanitarian parole, asylum, and other immigration remedies. With support from the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) GA-AL Chapter and the Refugee Women’s Network (RWN), Project Ally fields dozens of inquiries each day from families in Georgia and beyond, receiving over 150 calls for help in the first week alone.

To continue their efforts, GAIN needs to provide assistance with the $575/person Humanitarian Parole filing fees, interpretation and translation, and ongoing project management support. Your donation will enable GAIN to assist Afghan families and support the organization's mission to protect and empower immigrant survivors. Please donate or share today.
