The Scholarship Academy (TSA) began in a Howard University dorm room, where Founder and Executive Director Jessica Johnson—a student who earned over $200,000 in private scholarships—felt called to share her knowledge with others. What started as one student’s mission has grown into a powerful nonprofit serving low-income and first-generation students across Metro Atlanta since 2006.
Through hands-on FAFSA support, scholarship planning, college application guidance, and personalized funding strategies, TSA equips students and their families with the tools to make college affordable and achievable. Each year, thousands of students gain access to resources that help them unlock opportunities and reduce the burden of student debt.
