Habitat for Humanity Milledgeville-Baldwin County (HFHMBC) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping families build safe, affordable places to call home. We believe that affordable housing is the foundation of strong, stable communities. Thanks to the generosity of our donors and the dedication of our volunteers, we are able to provide life-changing housing opportunities and essential resources to families in need.

HFHMBC was incorporated in 1994 and completed its first home in 1996. By 2018, we had built 19 homes. In 2024, a $600,000 CHIP grant reignited our construction efforts, and in partnership with Macon Area Habitat for Humanity, we completed our 20th home in 2025. Together, we are currently building two more homes with plans for additional construction in the coming years, expanding our impact for families in Baldwin County.

This Giving Tuesday, You Can Help Build the Next Habitat Home

We invite you to support Habitat for Humanity Milledgeville-Baldwin County and help us continue our mission of providing affordable housing for families in need. Your generosity directly fuels the heart of our work.

Our 20th Home reflects our ongoing commitment to providing safe, stable, and affordable housing for local families. While the CHIP grant provides crucial funding for construction, donor support is essential to covering additional costs, purchasing materials, and ensuring that families can move into homes built with care and dignity. Your contribution brings us one step closer to giving another family the stability and security they deserve.

Why Your Donation Matters

1. Building Homes, Building Hope

A stable, affordable home offers more than shelter—it provides a foundation for better health, improved education, and long-term financial stability. Your support directly impacts families in Baldwin County, helping them achieve the transformative dream of homeownership.

2. Maximizing the CHIP Grant

The CHIP grant is a tremendous resource, but it covers only part of the total cost. Your donation fills critical gaps in construction funding, helping us purchase materials and support ongoing building efforts. Every dollar stretches further when combined with this grant.

3. Revitalizing Baldwin County

Affordable housing strengthens entire communities. Each Habitat home reduces blight, increases homeownership, and contributes to a more vibrant, stable Baldwin County. Your support helps us continue revitalizing neighborhoods and creating lasting positive change.

4. A Hand Up, not a Handout

Habitat homeowners invest hundreds of hours of sweat equity and take on an affordable mortgage, giving them a real stake in their future. Your donation empowers families to gain stability and independence while building pride that lasts for generations.

5. Strengthening Community Through Volunteerism

When you support Habitat, you’re joining a network of neighbors, volunteers, churches, businesses, and community members who believe in building a better Baldwin County. Your Giving Tuesday gift reinforces a community-wide effort to uplift families.
