Nearly 20 Years. One Mission.
In 2007, First Step Staffing began with a belief that continues to guide us today: when someone is given the opportunity to work, everything can begin to change.
For nearly two decades, we've worked to break down barriers to employment for individuals experiencing homelessness, veterans, people returning from incarceration, and others too often left out of the workforce.
What started in Atlanta has grown into the largest nonprofit staffing agency in the country, creating pathways to meaningful employment, steady income, dignity, and self-sufficiency for thousands of people.
As we approach our 20th anniversary in 2027, we're celebrating how far we've come—but we're even more focused on who's next.
