So, Tuxie has had his surgery and it was a success. They ended up taking all of his teeth so he shouldn't eat dry food, but he sometimes does. He has cleaned up his fur and looks like a gentleman in a tux: almost as good as George Clooney or Brad Pitt.
He is a sweet cat and a rescue favorite.
Only one thing missing. He needs his own home. Not the cat house. He needs his own home.
Can anyone help? Even sponsoring him for a month or a year would help, but adoption would make him the happiest. He deserves to be happy.
Meet Tuxie, a sweet black tuxedo gentleman with a heart of gold. For most of his life, Tuxie has lived outdoors with our community cats. Even after everything he has been through, he is incredibly loving — the kind of kitty who leans into your hand for pets and purrs with pure gratitude.
Recently, we noticed Tuxie was looking very scraggly and unwell. Cats are naturally neat and proud of their beautiful coats, but Tuxie has been struggling. The reason is heartbreaking: he has painful dental issues that are making it hard for him to groom himself properly. He isn’t rough around the edges by choice — he’s hurting.
Right now, Tuxie is safe inside the cat house at the rescue, waiting for the surgery he desperately needs. Once he gets the dental care he needs, he’ll finally have a chance to feel comfortable, healthy, and pain-free again.
We are trying to raise $990 to cover Tuxie’s surgery and medical care. Any additional funds will first toward Tuxie's bills and then other cats needing expensive vet procedures.
