Because HOPE can’t wait — not when the lights are about to be shut off. Not when groceries cost more than the rent did five years ago. Not when one job loss means foreclosure. That’s why this Give 828, HOPE Inc., is rallying to raise $10,000 to keep single parents and their children housed, fed, and in school. Take Jessica, for example — a courageous single mom who weathered divorce, near-eviction, and job loss… all while raising her son and working toward a nursing degree. She was determined to build a better life, but her final semester nearly cost her everything. “I often worried how I would keep up with bills or provide for my son,” she wrote. “The HOPE Program was a lifeline. Because of them, we had food, shelter, school supplies—and even Christmas gifts when we needed them most.” Jessica graduated in 2025 with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She is a first-generation college graduate. Her son watched as she walked across the stage. This is what your gift does. It doesn’t just pay a bill— it changes the course of generations. With inflation rising, SNAP benefits at risk, and utility bills surging, families like Jessica’s can’t wait for hope.

They need it now.
