Support LAT and Have Some Gelatin!

For my GaGives LAT 2025 Campaign I'm combining two of my great loves: Gelatin and Live Arts Theatre!  The donor that gives the highest to my campaign this year will receive a custom gelatin concoction of their own choosing so let your mind run wild.  I'm know for some wild concoctions including, Bloody Mary Aspic, Krystal Hamburger in Beef Aspic, Deviled Egg Shots (white gelatin with banana pudding), Southern Tomato Aspic, Cole Slaw and Vinegar Cole Slaw Fish, Boozy Broken Jell-O and Flan.  Last years winner wanted shrimp so I created the Southwester Smoked Shrimp Mousse with homemade shrimp stock and smoked shrimp.  So please donate to LAT and start thinking about your interesting concoction :)

Barbs Theatre Story:

After a 3 year hiatus, I found myself back in community theatre in 2019 but discouraged. Being a short, overweight, mid-age woman, the choice of roles was limited. My daughter and I were in the second LAT production "Brothers Grimm Spectacularton" back in the early 2010 so I kept up with LAT and was happy to see their growth.  I was encouraged to come back to audition, communicated my frustrations with lack of roles, and found myself cast in unexpected roles. Even better I looked around and saw so many actors, directors, crew of all different types of talented people being given opportunities normally not seen at other theaters. Best of all, the different and compelling stories being told on the stage.  

I decided to join the LAT Board of Directors in 2020 because I truly believe in our mission "Live Arts Theatre is a community focused teaching theatre, where amateurs are paired with experienced professionals to produce diverse, challenging theatrical work which engages, educates, and entertains."  

It's the building and supporting of the community that is the most important to me. I was given a chance to experience and grow and I want others to have the same chance too.

All funds raised will go toward the costs associated with finding and building out a new permanent space for Live Arts, general operating costs that keep the theatre running, and raising funds to finally pay our Artistic Directors for the tireless work they do for our community.

Please donate to Live Arts Theatre, a 501c3 nonprofit theatre. Donations may be tax deductible, check with your tax preparer. All donations will go towards the theatre in general to cover operating expenses as well as strategic goals so we can continue to produce amazing shows while we find and build out a new permanent space where all will not only be welcome, but celebrated.
