At SafeHouse Outreach, we believe everyone deserves dignity, support, and the opportunity to build a brighter future. For friends experiencing homelessness and extreme poverty, moving forward takes compassion, resources, and a community willing to stand alongside them.

This Giving Tuesday, your support can help turn needs into opportunities and opportunities into lasting change.

Our Outreach Team meets friends on the streets of Atlanta, checking on their well-being and connecting them to shelter, housing, and essential resources. We also help friends obtain vital documents, including IDs, birth certificates, and Social Security cards, removing barriers to employment and other services.

Through our nightly Impact Meals, we provide food for approximately 250–300 friends, offering nourishment and connection to our community.

Our housing programs help friends work toward stability and a place to call home. This year, we celebrated 19 move-ins in a single week, including Checarda and her daughter, Trinity, who moved into permanent supportive housing, and Mr. Parks, who moved into Ralph David House after years of housing instability. Each milestone represents progress and the opportunity for a new beginning.

Through our WorkReady program, we help friends pursue employment and greater independence. Our mental health services also support overall well-being, recognizing that caring for the whole person means addressing more than immediate physical needs.

From street outreach and meals to housing, employment, vital documents, and mental health support, our mission is to meet people where they are and help them move forward.

But we cannot do this work alone.
