What began as a small group of community members determined to protect families has grown into a lifeline for thousands of women, children, and individuals seeking safety and a fresh start.

Survivors are coming to us with fewer resources, greater financial insecurity, and more barriers to finding safe housing. Every day, we meet families who arrive with nothing but the clothes they’re wearing—tired, afraid, and uncertain of what comes next.

Where it all began

Who We Are?

Forsyth County Family Haven was incorporated in 1989 for the purpose of providing safe temporary shelter, individual crisis support and referral services for victims of violence. Our organization acts as an advocate for victims and families of domestic violence providing shelter, programs and community education to end the cycle of violence. We are a nonprofit organization serving Forsyth and North Fulton Counties.

End Domestic Violence

The Mission of Family Haven is to provide comprehensive services to individuals and their children who have experienced family violence, to educate and train the community on the issue of family violence/sexual assault, to increase self-sufficiency and to reduce recidivism. 

Make An Impact
