Hi everyone! My name is Kate Edwards, and I’m a junior at North Cobb Christian School. This is my first year on the Tommy Nobis Student Board, but this cause has already become so important to me. The Tommy Nobis Center’s mission is to empower and encourage people with disabilities beyond high school, helping them find meaningful jobs and thrive in life.
This mission stood out to me because I see it as a way to share God’s love with everyone. As a Christian, I believe God calls us to love and serve others, and being on the Student Board gives me a platform to do that. I know that students with disabilities have just as much potential for greatness as anyone, and I’m excited to help make their paths a little easier.
The Student Board has shown me how joyful it can be to serve others with a kind and giving heart. I hope you’ll see the love that the Tommy Nobis Center pours into their mission and be inspired to donate. Thank you for taking the time to read my “why”!
