School Is In provides three Grant types for Title 1 Teachers in Georgia.

$1,500 goal

School Is In's mission is to remove the cost associated with setting up a classroom or replacing broken materials at Title 1 schools without Teacher Reimbursement. Schools within most public school districts share incoming tax revenue equally. These funds usually cover teacher salaries, student consumables (think workbooks) and durables (think Math manipulatives and whiteboards).

What separates schools by additional financial resources is a functioning PTA and/or Foundation. PTAs and Foundations can pay for extras such as classroom setup, easels, rugs, and additional educational materials. They can also pay to replace items such as microscopes and library books.  Generally, Title 1 schools are ones without PTAs/Foundations, and so our clients are teachers at Title 1 Schools. Benefactors of our grants include Title 1 teachers, their students, and the greater school community.

This fundraiser will benefit School Is In's $100 Scholastic Book Grant. Our goal is to provide 15 teachers in Georgia with $100 of books toward their classroom libraries in both rural and urban communities. Teachers can apply for our grants at schoolisin.org/grants
