Empowering Survivors of Domestic Violence Through Financial Literacy on #GivingTuesday

99 % of victims of domestic violence experience financial abuse. For many survivors, the journey toward economic stability can be an uphill challenge.

Two of the most difficult obstacles to victims stepping into survivorship is a lack of financial freedom and not having a solid foundation of personal finance. This often results in victims staying in or returning to abusive relationships.

At the Alma Domestic Violence Foundation, we provide victims and survivors with financial literacy classes to help rebuild their lives. Our 6-week course gives participants valuable insight into understanding financial abuse, managing debt, budgeting, recognizing poor financial habits, credit repair and saving for a rainy day.

Wondering how you can make an impact? Make a contribution today and ensure victims/survivors have the financial knowledge and skills needed to break free from domestic violence while moving closer to economic independence.

$105 GIFT - Empower a domestic violence survivor with the tools needed to regain financial stability.

$175 GIFT – Provide a cohort of ten survivors with access to one week of financial education and training to help them achieve economic self-sufficiency.

$1,050 GIFT – Sponsor an interactive and engaging 6-week financial literacy workshop for ten survivors.

THANK YOU for your generous donation!
