Georgia Emergency Search and Rescue (GESAR) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to supporting law enforcement agencies and families with missing persons cases including Alzheimer's, dementia and children, major disaster searches, and evidence recovery. Across Georgia and other parts of the U.S., GESAR helps individuals, families and agencies locate missing persons. We do not charge for our services.
Every GESAR team member has extensive experience participating in missing person searches, and is certified through the National Association of Search and Rescue (NASAR) and the National Criminal Justice Training Center (NCJTC, for missing and exploited children). Each team member undergoes an annual background investigation. The members of the GESAR leadership team each have between 8 and 30 years of experience in search and rescue operations.
