GACHEP COVID-19 Student Emergency Fund

The Georgia Coalition for Higher Education in Prisons (GACHEP) is creating an emergency relief fund for formerly incarcerated participants of higher education in prison programs in Georgia. People coming out of prison during the COVID-19 pandemic face new dangers and challenges, not only to staying healthy, but to securing housing, employment, food, healthcare, childcare, and transportation. Our programs share a commitment to the well-being of current and former students that includes empowering people to meet basic needs. Your contribution will provide direct assistance to students, alumni, community members, and friends who have chosen to seek higher education under some of the most adverse circumstances, so that they can have the security to continue to pursue the opportunities that matter most to them.
