SOJOURN began in 2001 as The Rainbow Center, a Jewish-led effort to uplift LGBTQ+ people across Atlanta. As our impact grew, so did our name—in 2013, we became SOJOURN: the Southern Jewish Resource Network for Gender and Sexual Diversity. Our name reflects our purpose: to walk alongside individuals, families, and institutions on the journey toward full inclusion.
Rooted in Jewish values and Southern compassion, we’ve reached over 20,000 people through education, advocacy, and support. We help communities become more affirming, celebrate LGBTQ+ identities, and build lasting change. With your support, the journey continues—and everyone belongs.
