Charlotte's Bat Mitzvah Fundraiser

Charlotte has been inspired by the stories I share with her about the many ways JF&CS helps the community. From supporting Holocaust Survivors, to providing emergency assistance to help people stay in their homes, to helping Ukrainian evacuees to create a new life in Atlanta, to helping children with mental health needs, JF&CS has impacted so many in our community.  

When we discussed mitzvah projects, she wanted to help people who were homeless or in danger of losing their homes. The emergency assistance program at JF&CS helps provide a financial bridge for people who need help now.  The money keeps the lights and heat on for desperate families, or pays a month of rent while a parent finds another job. The recipients are also assisted with other resources such as career coaching, and JF&CS Food Pantry, and are often connected to other needed services.
