BIG NEWS!  The Coca-Cola Women's Empowerment Matching Fund Challenge has selected Just Bakery of Atlanta as a 2019 partner and will match all gifts given through this site through Giving Tuesday, Dec. 3rd!  Please give generously and watch your gifts multiply!

It's hard to believe it's giving season again already!  Last year we made a bold ask in support of our staff family, and you blew us away with your generosity.  Because you opened your hearts and wallets, we got to see the lives of our new American staff members change for the good right before our eyes this year.  Economic security is within reach of our neighbors who were resettled as refugees, because you put it there when you gave to Just Bakery of Atlanta during 2018.  Let's do that work of generosity together again in 2019.  Are you in?

Here's just one example of what your giving made possible this year--

Bhima, one of our original two trainees, earned a promotion to our Head Baker position in January.  She was the natural choice for this big job, because she's crazy smart, an incredibly hard worker, and a natural leader and teacher in the kitchen.  This promotion came with a raise and guaranteed hours per week, which made it possible for Bhima to purchase a car to get to and from work and apply for a mortgage, a first for her extended family that resettled in Atlanta from a refugee camp in Nepal.  Bhima's new position, hours, and wages qualified her for the mortgage, and she closed on her first house in May.  Just Bakery of Atlanta set out to open doors towards long-term economic security and stability in partnership with our neighbors who were resettled as refugees.  Your support made that possible with Bhima this year.  She is just one impressive and inspiring example of your generous love at work!

We can't wait to keep sharing stories of our bakers' successes with you.  What will you make possible for our neighbors who were resettled as refugees in the year to come?  Whose lives will you change when you put paid job training, professional certification, and living wage work within reach through Just Bakery of Atlanta?  Who will Bhima next?  Give generously this giving season and keep joining us in this good work, so we can find out together.

Help us meet our 2019 GAGives goal of raising $15,000 by Giving Tuesday, December 3rd.  $10,000 will cover half our paid training and living wage commitments for an additional new American staff family member.  $3,000 will help us build out our delivery program that is our fastest growing sales and job creation source.  $2,000 will outfit our kitchen with wi-fi and the technology needed to make orders and communications a smooth process.  Give to Just Bakery of Atlanta to  create opportunities for economic security and stability for our resettled neighbors.  Give to join us as we eat well, do good, and change lives!
