Dear Friends,
As the current President of the Friends of Oatland Island's Board of Directors, I am thrilled to let you know about some upcoming projects and opportunities! At the end of 2021, we welcomed two orphaned cougar cubs to Oatland (read their story here - https://bit.ly/oatlandcougar) and we are looking forward to some habitat upgrades in the near future.
Our 2022 year end giving campaign comes with a goal to raise $40,000 by December 31, 2022. These funds will allow us to add a much-needed sunshade over the habitat area of Cougar Crossing. I am so excited to see this project come to fruition as I know it will be a tremendous improvement to Olympia and Rainier's enjoyment of the space, as well as the community's enjoyment in watching our beloved cougar siblings.
As we continue our funding drive over the coming months, you’ll be hearing from me about the incredible impact Friends of Oatland is having on our community and our big plans for 2023. Whether you're a current member, former member, or just a fan of Oatland, we’d love for you to help us start off strong with a personal contribution.
From all of us here at FOO and Oatland, a heartfelt thank you.
