A.G. Rhodes is a mission-driven nonprofit nursing home provider with three communities in metro Atlanta. Your generous donation to the Seeds for Seniors program will support the Horticultural Therapy Department and bring nature and healing to A.G. Rhodes nursing home residents. And, by donating $60 or more this Giving Tuesday, you will receive a commemorative brick that will be placed in our new therapy garden.
Seeds for Seniors promotes therapeutic gardening and contact with nature to increase sensory stimulation, watering to improve motor skills, and group sessions to help decrease isolation and depression.
Many of our elders were avid gardeners or just love being around plants. Therapeutic gardening gives them the opportunity to relive memories, relax, and spend time with one another.
