The Educated Choices Program (ECP) is a U.S.-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to providing free, science-based food education to empower current and future consumers and leaders to help create a healthier, more sustainable food system for all. Founded in 2016 by CEO Lorena Mucke, ECP began with a vision to educate students and community members about the impacts of food choices on human and planetary health. Lorena brought a decade of experience presenting food education to students in metro Atlanta, Georgia, into creating ECP. Since its inception, ECP has grown exponentially, offering digital video presentations available 24/7 in multiple languages. Our presentations are professionally narrated and include accompanying resources such as quizzes, homework, activities, and lesson plans housed in an online digital library.
We believe that education is a right and that it is crucial for our communities to recognize their power in shaping our future through informed food choices. Our program clearly illustrates the connections between our food systems and human and planetary health while providing practical tools for implementing healthful dietary changes. By applying this newfound knowledge, individuals are empowered to make shifts that benefit themselves and future generations.
We rely on funding from our supporters to provide our resources at no cost. All donations go directly toward the creation and distribution of our educational resources. Your donation provides education, creates positive change, and instills hope. Together, we can create a better future for all!
