Loving Me (girls 11-15)

I am Cheryl Burnside, CEO and founder of Phenomenal Women's Health and Loving Me Phenomenally with Endless Possibilities. When I was a preteen, someone showed me the possibilities. Because of the exposure to options, I became a physical therapist.

I want you to meet Sharmaine. At 11, Sharmaine entered our program with big dreams of becoming an Astronomer but couldn't see the possibilities. With only 1 out of 10 Afro-Americans in the STEM field workforce and only 22 black female astronomers in the US, where were the possibilities? So, we brought in a scientist who looked like her and explained her journey to becoming a scientist. Now, Sharmaine saw the possibilities.

So, as an organization determined to show girls the possibilities of STREAM occupations, we brought in doctors, healthcare professionals, and pilots, took them to Space Camp, and introduced them to the arts. Two of her girls flew with the Sisters in the Skies last month. The girls could see the possibilities because they saw dynamic females who looked like them. It's hard to believe what you can be if you don't see it. You must see it to believe it. 

 Did you know 2025 will be a global shortage of four million programmers, software developers, and coders? We want to place our girls at the forefront of this shortage by equipping, empowering, and educating them to be the next generation of coders and developers. 

With your help of $ 15,000, we can buy computers, software, and consultants to educate and equip 20-25 girls in the spring and fall sessions to be our next generation of coders and software developers.
