With many stay-in-place directives across the country and a wave of closures, layoffs, and cancellations, we are comforted that DeKalb Habitat partner families are in a safe, stable home during this time of crisis. Yet, we are deeply concerned about the impact COVID-19 will have on them as we fight this pandemic. Many of our Habitat homeowners make their family’s living in the industries that have been devastated by this situation and could lead to catastrophic consequences for our homeowners. These families will certainly be concerned about continuing to make ends meet including their mortgage payments.
