I was first drawn to the Tommy Nobis Center after meeting a student named Zoe through another program that supports high schoolers with autism in securing internships in Atlanta. We worked together on communication, organization, and exploring jobs that matched her interests. That experience showed me how transformative employment opportunities can be.

Now, as a member of the Tommy Nobis Center Student Advisory Board, I get to support programs that empower students like Zoe every day. The center provides job coaching, career training, hands-on work experience, and support for both individuals and employers — all designed to ensure that people with disabilities aren’t left behind in the workplace. With nearly 85% of people with disabilities unemployed or underemployed nationally, the need for this mission is real and urgent.

The Tommy Nobis Center’s goal is simple and powerful: to support youth and adults with disabilities in securing meaningful employment. A job is so much more than a paycheck. It means independence, confidence, and the feeling of belonging somewhere you are valued.

I am fundraising because every donation directly helps someone discover these opportunities. If you choose to give today, you’re helping someone take their first step into the workforce and toward a future full of possibility.
