MGF was founded to raise awareness, prevent and end hazing on high school and college campuses.

$1,835

raised by 17 people

The Max Gruver Foundation was created after the hazing death of Max Gruver at LSU in 2017.  More than 200 students have been killed due to hazing.  Over 50 deaths in the last decade alone. The Max Gruver Foundation educates high school and college students on the dangers of hazing.  Hazing should never be a part of your high school or college experiences.

Max’s parents, Rae Ann and Steve Gruver, travel the country speaking to high school and college students about their son Max’s tragic hazing death. They educate others on what hazing is, what to watch out for and what you can do to keep yourself and your friends safe. The Gruvers have traveled to over 100 campuses/organizations/conferences and have reached over 100,000 students.

The Gruvers have advocated and won their fight to strengthen hazing laws in Louisiana and Georgia, known in both states as the Max Gruver Act, as well as lobbied on Capitol Hill for the possibility of passing of a stronger federal hazing law, known as the End All Hazing Act.

The Gruvers are working to develop education materials for high school and college campuses both for virtual use and in person. The Gruvers are advocating for hazing education to be mandatory in K-12 curriculums across Georgia and the US. It is never too early to raise awareness to what hazing is, how you can prevent it and what you can do if you see or know it is happening.

Your donations will help the Gruvers continue to share Max’s story, develop educational materials, support research to end the hazing culture and END hazing once and for all.  Do it for Max…….the Gruvers are working hard to protect your children from the dangers of hazing.  #flyhighmax
