GivingTuesday is partnering with Young, Black & Giving Back Institute to help support Black-led and Black-benefitting nonprofits on August 28, 2020.
Hope for the Journey supports women that are fighting breast cancer. According to the CDC, breast cancer rates are higher among black women who are younger than 60 years of age. The women in our community are choosing between putting food on their table and affording life-saving prescriptions. This is a decision we believe no woman should have to make.
Our goal is to obtain additional funding to meet the demand for financial support in the form of utility payments, prescription drugs, medical supplies, and gas. By providing this assistance, we can ensure each of these women can continue their treatments and increase their chance of survival.
Although the giving day takes place on August 28, 2020, giving is live NOW to help Hope for the Journey and other organizations stay funded during this crucial moment.
