In 1990, a vision was born.

A group of committed leaders came together to create more than just a football game—they founded the Fountain City Classic to uplift our community, celebrate HBCU excellence, and raise scholarship dollars for students at Fort Valley State University and Albany State University.

For 35 years, that vision has grown into a tradition of pride, purpose, and opportunity. From cheering in the stands to walking across the graduation stage, countless students have been impacted by what the Classic represents: legacy, unity, and access to higher education.

What began as support for students at Fort Valley State and Albany State has now expanded to provide scholarship opportunities to students attending colleges and universities across the continental United States—amplifying our reach and deepening our impact for generations to come.

Now, we’re expanding that mission. We don’t just want to help students get to college—we want to make sure they have the resources, support, and stability to stay in college and walk across that graduation stage.

Too many bright, determined students are forced to leave school over a few hundred dollars in unmet need. Together, we can change that story.
