UNITED Atlanta: Empowering Youth Through Fitness, Mentorship, and Education

Cause of E.F.F.E.C.T.’s UNITED Atlanta Program empowers underserved youth in Metro Atlanta to build strength—physically, mentally, and emotionally. Through fitness, academic support, mentorship, and entrepreneurship training, we help youth ages 6–19 gain confidence, leadership skills, and a sense of purpose. Every donation supports year-round programs that transform lives and uplift entire communities.

The UNITED Atlanta Program primarily serves youth ages 6–19 living in underserved and disinvested neighborhoods within Metro Atlanta, with a concentrated focus on the 30315 ZIP code. This area faces persistent challenges such as limited access to quality education, recreational facilities, mentorship, and mental health support—factors that often contribute to health disparities, academic disengagement, and exposure to community violence.

Our participants are predominantly Black and low-to-moderate income youth who benefit from structured programs that provide positive outlets for growth, learning, and social connection. Many come from single-parent or working-class households that face barriers to accessing affordable wellness and enrichment opportunities.

By providing culturally relevant fitness training, academic enrichment, mentorship, and entrepreneurship exposure, UNITED Atlanta empowers participants to strengthen their physical and mental health, improve academic performance, and develop leadership skills. The program also intentionally involves families and community partners, ensuring a holistic support system that uplifts both the youth and the neighborhoods they represent.
