The Palenque Village in Colombia is a community steeped in rich history as the first free African settlement in the Americas. However, despite its historical significance, the village faces deep struggles. The challenges are particularly harsh for the children and elderly residents, who are often neglected when it comes to access to vital healthcare, education, and infrastructure. A large portion of the population, especially the younger and older generations, is living in poverty with inadequate access to healthcare services, schools, clean water, and basic resources
The isolation of the community, coupled with a lack of sufficient economic resources, makes it even harder for these groups to thrive. Many children are deprived of an education, and the elderly face difficulties accessing medical care. This is a community that urgently needs support to help bridge these gaps.
We, at the Peter Uba Foundation, are reaching out to you to help alleviate this suffering. With your contribution, we can provide essential services to those who need them most. We are focused on delivering healthcare, educational resources, and building infrastructure that can create a better future for these families.
We invite you to join us in supporting the children and elderly of the Palenque Village. Your generosity can bring hope and help us address the critical needs of this community. Together, we can make a tangible impact and ensure that every person, young and old, has the opportunity to thrive.
