Help Gateway Support Survivors This October β Domestic Violence Awareness Month π
October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and we are raising funds for Gateway Domestic Violence Center β a place of safety, healing, and hope for survivors in our community.
Gatewayβs mission is to provide safe shelter and supportive services to survivors of domestic violence and their children. So far this year alone, Gateway has provided safe shelter and transitional housing to 70 women and 93 children β and the need continues to grow every day.
Many of the survivors who arrive at Gateway have been isolated from employment, finances, and transportation by their abusers. Starting over is never easy, and escaping an abusive relationship often means leaving everything behind β home, belongings, income, and support networks. Gateway walks beside survivors through this difficult transition, helping them rebuild their lives and find safety, stability, and independence.
Your contribution will directly help survivors of domestic violence:
Provide safe shelter and transitional housing for women and children in crisis
Offer counseling, legal advocacy, and support groups to help them heal
Connect survivors with education, job training, and transportation so they can become independent and thrive
For many survivors, Gateway is the first safe place they have known in years. Your support can be the difference between staying trapped in an abusive relationship and finding a new path toward safety and hope.
π Every dollar you give is an investment in safety, dignity, and a brighter future. Please join me in standing with survivors during Domestic Violence Awareness Month β and beyond. Together, we can help break the cycle of abuse and build a safer community for everyone.
Thank you for your compassion and generosity.
