Food insecurity touches 1 in 9 of our neighbors here in Cherokee County with even 

higher rates of food insecurity in Bartow and Pickens Counties.  

Most of the guests we serve are working or have just enough resources to be turned 

away from government aid. Among those we serve, 1 in 3 are children and 1 in 5 are 

seniors. We see grandparents raising grandchildren, veterans, young families,

and single parents—people from every walk of life whose lives were upended by

an illness, job loss, or crisis. At Never Alone, we meet them with more than food. We 

offer hope, dignity, and encouragement. When a child eats, they learn and thrive. 

When a senior has enough, they stay healthier and stronger.
