What? GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement unleashing the power of radical generosity. GivingTuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Since then, it has grown into a year-round global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity. 

When? This year, GivingTuesday will be on November 29th. Join CCHH as we fight to break the cycle of childhood sexual abuse. Every amount donated, whether big or small, will make a positive impact on our clients and community. 

CCHH History: In 1984, a committed group of Hall County DFCS workers recognized the unique needs of child victims of sexual abuse. A community needs assessment was undertaken with participation from judges, DA's, community mental health workers, and law enforcement officials. The results of their study pointed to a need for specialized services in our community for children who have been sexually abused. In 1987, the Children's Center for Hope & Healing was formally incorporated. In 1996, Project Pathfinder was born as a result of seeing a rising incidence of children with sexual behavior problems. Finally, in 1997, the program took its current shape, extending services to adults who have unresolved issues as a result of childhood sexual abuse.

Who we are: Since its inception, The Children’s Center for Hope and Healing (CCHH) has expanded its services to over thirteen counties in Northeast Georgia by offering trauma-focused therapeutic services to clients and families that have been impacted by childhood sexual abuse. There are no other agencies in our thirteen county service area who provide similar services for victims of childhood sexual abuse at no cost to clients; we are also the only bilingual therapy option in this bracket. CCHH’s mission is to restore dignity, trust and hope to individuals and families traumatized by child sexual abuse through accessible and effective therapy, advocacy, and education. Our vision is a safe community in which all thrive, free from sexual abuse. Our agency offers its services to families at no-cost, always. As we triumph over our current average of 700 clients and families a year, we are simultaneously reminded of the haunting inevitability and overwhelming abundance of sexual abuse that falls on the children in our community daily. Equally as concerning is the scarcity of services for these families. Our efforts to maintain and expand these services call for an increased level of support from our community members.
