Angeleck is the future homeowner of the Faith Build Home, which has been partially funded by the local faith community in Macon and is currently being constructed in one of our two focus neighborhoods, Pleasant Hill. Homeownership has always been a dream of Angeleck's, and we could not be more excited to be a part of her story. Since the beginning of construction, she and her family have enthusiastically and faithfully partnered with Macon Area Habitat for Humanity to make her dream come true. COVID-19 lockdowns, social distancing, and volunteer engagement changes caused this home construction process to operate like no other, yet her excitement and optimism have remained.

Please give today to provide for the remaining materials and labor needed to complete her home. Due to the impact of COVID-19 on production and supplies, construction material costs have risen and caused a slow in building. With your partnership, we can finish this home and have Angeleck moved in for the holidays!

Angeleck's story is best told by her, which you can read here.

My name is Angeleck, and I am writing to support the Macon Area Habitat for Humanity. This Fall, I will be a proud homeowner of a three-bedroom two-bath home in the Historic Pleasant Hill area here in Macon, Georgia.

I am a single mother of two children and a grandmother of four grandsons. For years one of my ultimate dreams was to become a homeowner. As a young mother, I worked pretty good jobs, but the pay wasn’t enough to cover all of the expenses that I had to cover. A friend introduced me to substandard housing, and that became my way of living. Even then, I was determined to put my children in safe and decent neighborhoods.

With the support of MAHFH, they were able to change all of my doubts and comfort my fear and allow my dreams to come true. They were very supportive of walking me through this new chapter of my life. They provided me with all of the important information that I need to know and understand with being a first-time homeowner. They answered all of my questions to the best of their ability.

I’m so grateful for all that MAHFH has done for my family and me. I pray that you will give MAHFH the funding they have requested to continue helping others dream come true as well.
