Tuesday, December 2 is GA Giving Tuesday, a day of charity and a reminder for folks to support nonprofits. Kitty City is CAGE FREE! Yes, our cats roam around with all of their furry friends. We provide a home like environment until the PURRFECT family gives them a FUREVER home. A majority of our cats come from county shelters (kill) to prevent euthanization. This year (as the past couple of years) has been challenging to say the least; however, we were still able to take in approximately 200 cats/kittens. Unfortunately our adoption number is much lower than in past years. What this means - the kittens/cats are staying with us longer which increases our everyday costs (food, medicine, flea meds, etc). Kitty City tries not to ask for funds unless absolutely necessary. In fact, this is the first time this year we've requested funds for operating costs and Giving Tuesday seems like the PURRFECT time. Our everyday expenses (morgage, water, electricity, garbage, insurance, etc) along with vet/medical expenses ($30,000 to date) has put our account balance at an uncomfortable low. As a nonprofit we depend on you, our PAWSOME followers and supporters, to help us continue our mission for the cats. Our cats are not only physically cared for daily (food, water, vetting, clean environment) but are LOVED! These furry purrboxes are spoiled as much as possible and loved by everyone associated with Kitty City. We try to match the cat to the adopter, based on the cat's personalities. All of our cats/kittens are spayed/neutered, tested negative for FIV/FeLV, up to date on vaccinations & microchippedIf you can support us in ANY amount we will definitely appreciate it.
