Working Concepts

There are 596,000 people living with a disability (PwD) in Georgia. The unemployment rate for PwD is 17.5%.

As people who experience disabilities, they are among the most loyal,  hardworking and dedicated employees to be found.

They have these attributes  because they are not only interested in earning a paycheck, they also are truly  interested in the jobs they perform.

The employment of people with disabilities has been something which has  been discussed, fought over, denied, attempted, and successful to varying  degrees.

Disabilities make it harder to take part in normal daily activities. They may  limit what a person can do physically or mentally, or they can affect the  senses. Disability doesn't mean unable, and it isn't a sickness. Most people  with disabilities work, play, learn, and enjoy full healthy lives.

Working Concepts wants to be able to  help PwD  improve their lives  through training, awareness to increasing their self-confidence, independence, and financial stability.
